{"id":77,"date":"2014-04-24T21:19:44","date_gmt":"2014-04-24T21:19:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shelliwood.com\/about\/?p=77"},"modified":"2014-07-13T22:45:54","modified_gmt":"2014-07-13T22:45:54","slug":"it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shelliwood.com\/about\/2014\/it\/","title":{"rendered":"It"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve finally finished Stephen King&#8217;s It, again, it&#8217;s one of my favourite books but only the second time I&#8217;ve got all the way through. \u00a0Some parts of that book I&#8217;ve read 4 times!<\/p>\n<p>First attempt I was about 16, got halfway through and gave up, finally read it all the way thorough at about 21.<\/p>\n<p>5 years ago I thought it was time to re-read it, one piece of advise don&#8217;t take it as hospital reading. \u00a0I associated that book with hospitals for several years and could now only pick it up again. \u00a0Next time I&#8217;m visiting someone in hospital I&#8217;m taking Harry Potter, I&#8217;ve read them so many times it will never\u00a0be associated with hospitals. \u00a0I was doing really well reading every night at the start of the year but was distracted late January and have done much less\u00a0reading since then.<\/p>\n<p>Still a great book and I loved the 90&#8217;s mini-series, but would love to see it done full justice and stay more true to the book.<\/p>\n<p>Now for something a bit lighter, I think<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve finally finished Stephen King&#8217;s It, again, it&#8217;s one of my favourite books but only the second time I&#8217;ve got all the way through. \u00a0Some parts of that book I&#8217;ve read 4 times!
